Services Performed
- While checking wave lengths – found ground from alternator was not working – contacted owner and let them know in order to repair – includes new cable
- 1. Found the battery connections were not attached, and needed tightened down, and reconnected the disconnected Fusible linkage cable. [Need to verify if the 100amp circuit has a connector as well] 2. Performed initial Scan, and found the BCM set a lot of passed and failed DTCs, which could have happened due to the loose connection. Reset all DTCs and start vehicle successfully. 3. Re-scanned, and need to verify if engine needs CKP relearn performed. No communications with the EBCM are found, which seems to be setting off the majority of the warning lights. Current course of action is to disconnect the EBCM connector, probe for power and ground circuits. Need to determine if there is a wiring issue, or if the EBCM has failed.
- AS OF RIGHT NOW WE HAVE CODES REDUCED TO 2 CODES – TESTED OUT WIRING – REPLACED FUSES – CONNECTED 2 WIRES AND ARE STILL CONTINUING TO HAVE AN ISSUE WITH CRANK SENSOR RELEARN – SO FAR WE HAVE 3 HOURS IN IT
- CONTINUED DIAGNOSIS – THIS WILL BE FOR ISSUES STILL PRESENT AND WILL REQUIRE THE TRUCK TO BE LEFT HERE FOR AN EXTENDED PERIOD OF TIME – THERE IS THE VERY GOOD POSSIBILITY THAT EITHER WIRING IS DAMAGED FROM PRESENCE OF A RODENT OR THE EMC HAS AN ISSUE
- WHEEL SPEED ABS SENSOR – Remove & Replace Rear, Left Side
- REMOVE AND REPLACE FRONT CALIPER – PERFORM A BLEED ON THE SYSTEM AND BLEED THE ABS SYTEM.
