- Found that the incorrect dilution of antifreeze to water was off. [25%coolant – 75%water, freeze/slush at 12 deg F]. Did an inspection around the cooling system and affected components and found no damage. Balanced the cooling system with compatible antifreeze to bring back to the appropriate 50%-50% dilution. Heat cycled vehicle twice and confirmed the vehicle operated as intended. There is some residue around the FR of the vehicle from the radiator, cleanup was performed to best of abilities. It is strongly recommended that at every gasoline fill up, to check the oil level, and coolant level to ensure levels are appropriate. A reminder that due to a freeze-over, this weakens all affected components, such as the engine gaskets, the crankcase and heads, radiators and heater-cores, etc, and that there is always an increased chance of a mechanical failure due to stress from expanding ice against surfaces, and to be mindful of this for any future services.
